Fantastic Theatre Experience Available!
Patrick Ness’s ‘A Monster Calls’ is a very popular book in our LRC, and for good reason. Both moving and magical, this book takes you on an emotionally thrilling journey. In recent years, it has been adapted for both the cinema and the stage and I was delighted to hear the Old Vic Theatre will be screening it for a week on their YouTube channel. This is what their website says:
First seen on stage in 2018, Patrick Ness’ piercing novel, inspired by an idea from Siobhan Dowd, was brought to The Old Vic by visionary director Sally Cookson. The production, featuring the original cast, will go live at 7pm on Friday 5 June and will be available to watch until Thursday 11 June.
I will definitely be watching-I hope you will too!
