While taking part in Kindness Matters, I have had the opportunity to support Year 10 students with their English work, particularly when studying English texts. As an A level student studying English Literature and Language, I was able to share my knowledge of the subject and help students develop a better understanding of the text they were learning by drawing on the knowledge that I had gained when studying for my GCSEs.
I believe Kindness Matters also gives younger students the chance to receive support from another student, where they can receive additional knowledge. For me, Kindness Matters also helped me develop my communication skills. Overall, I think it has helped both the sixth form students and lower years by allowing them to gain extra support, while we developed the ability to explain ideas clearly to them.
