Students present at Full Governing Body...
One of the highlights of Wednesday evening’s Full Governing Body Meeting was the excellent presentation made by Year 10 Student Leader Jhanavi and Year 8 STEM Leaders Trishan and Darius.
The students informed all the Governors about the exciting STEM activities that are taking place within and beyond the classroom: in lessons, during special enrichment day sessions and through the outstanding STEM Club at Bushey Meads School. They explained to Governors about some of the excellent connections with employers within the Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths industries and how these are helping to inspire the future generation about opportunities for learning within this important sphere of our society.
Jhanavi highlighted many of the outstanding contributions our Community Leaders are making to the school and our local community through their visits to local care homes and ongoing desire to raise money for notable charitable causes. Governors were really impressed with how well they all spoke and the superb work that they, and all our Community and STEM Leaders, are doing both in and beyond our great school.
It was an inspiring start to the busy Governors meeting and ongoing dialogue with Governors that continues to form part of our ongoing journey to greatness.
