It was an amazingly inspirational start to Pastoral Manager Mr Malik’ Assembly to celebrate the Theme of the Week of Equality and Diversity, coinciding with Black History month; three superb images of art work created by some of our talented artists were displayed on the big screen.
Everyone having equal opportunities, yet having a culture where we recognise and celebrate differences across all human characteristics, was a central theme of the Assembly and it was great to hear from some of our senior students as part of the carefully crafted presentation.
An exciting competition is running to celebrate Black History month and I would encourage all parents and carers to get their children to take part.
The Assembly finished by reminding all students that all of us are created to love one another and not to cause harm.
Our school does take kindness very seriously and we are immensely proud of the major contribution that all staff, students and parents and carers make to our beautifully diverse and rich learning community.
