Despite the continued challenges we are all experiencing, it was good to start the week with our usual focus on teaching and learning. Head of Biology Mr Gall was sharing with staff about how his Teacher Triad have developed a greater sense of independent learning in their lessons in the area of science and practical lessons.
Simple but effective ideas of re-working worksheets and exam practical help sheets to be much more visual and developing student leadership roles and champions from the student body in the science labs were two great initiatives outlined in his inspiring Monday Magic Moment.
Eight ‘Experimental Wizards’ have received specific training and take the lead in ensuring that practical lessons run smoothly across their year groups. All part of ensuring students at Bushey Meads maximise the opportunities for learning and a great way to start the week.
