FOOTBALL
Year 8A Boys v Queens (District League) AWAY Mr Harris
Date: Thursday 8th October 2026
Result: Lost 7 – 1
Squad: B. Augustine (GK), G. Mulholland, A. Mair, S. Parmar, S. Scott, M. Inch, F. Neal, T. Milson, E. Muslu, J. Pearson, G. O’Dea
Commended performances: B. Augustine
Comment: a difficult afternoon in the end. We started really well and created lots of chances moving the ball around the pitch really well. Later after conceding the first we really struggled to stay in the game and create our own chances can see many more of the game went on. B. Augustine did really well and go keeping the score down. One more game of the season to play after half term.
Year 7A Boys v Grange Academy (District League) HOME Mr Moxon
Date: Thursday 8th October 2026
Result: 7-1 Loss
Scorers: K. Arthurs-Bedford
Squad: O. Permeti (GK), D. Agca (Capt), E. Mwandira, R. Shah, L. Foran, C. Barnes, L. Buznea, H. Stewart, K. Arthurs-Bedford, J. Shearman, I. Jaji, J. Bllacaj
Commended performances: K. Arthurs-Bedford, R. Shah
Comment: What would turn out to be a tough afternoon at the office for the year 7 boys on their second outing of the season started fairly brightly, creating a couple of half chances in the opening minutes against an extremely strong Grange Academy side. We kept the visitors at bay for most of the first half, but unfortunately conceded 3 within the last 8 minutes of the half, taking us into the break chasing the game. We spoke at half time about the importance of the next goal in this game in order to change the momentum, and again, started the half well by winning an early corner and putting Grange Academy under some heavy pressure. Unfortunately we couldn’t convert any of these chances, and conceded another two in quick succession. K. Arthurs-Bedford converted a nice 1v1 chance assisted by J. Bllacaj to open our account for the season. Although we were defeated by an exceptionally good team, there were clear signs of improvement from our first match and plenty of positives to take going forwards!
Year 7A Boys v Reach Free (District League) AWAY Mr Moxon
Date: Monday 12th October 2026
Result: 3-1 Loss
Scorers: H. Stewart
Squad: O. Permeti (GK), D. Agca (Capt), E. Mwandira, R. Shah, L. Foran, B. Reynolds, L. Buznea, H. Stewart, K. Arthurs-Bedford, J. Shearman, I. Jaji, J. Bllacaj
Commended performances: O. Permeti, J. Shearman, H. Stewart.
Comment : Following a tough result against Grange Academy, we spoke as a group about the importance of encouragement and not letting our heads drop. The boys delivered on that mindset as we battled away against Reach Free in our first awayday. We unfortunately gave away a penalty early on in the game, which Reach Free converted to take the lead, and followed up with a fine strike from distance to double their advantage. We found ourselves 3-0 down before halftime, but kept our heads held high and battled to stay in the game. After being brought down in the box on the stroke of half time, H. Stewart coolly converted from the spot to pull one back for us. In the huddle the atmosphere was very positive and full of belief that we were still in the game. Whilst O. Permeti made some great saves, throughout a competitive second half we had a few golden opportunities to get something from the game. Unfortunately the second half ended in a stalemate and we couldn’t find the second goal to push on, but the boys showed great spirit and determination and a gradual improvement from games one and two.
Year 9A Boys v Parmiters A (County Cup) AWAY Mr Moxon
Date: Wednesday 14th October 2026
Result: Lost 6-1
Scorers: F. Slazak
Squad: G. Bees (GK), J. Muraj, A. Nguyen, B. Rusi, T. Muranaka, A. Joslin, B. Stanley, F. Slazak, C. Kilpack (Capt), N. Cunningham, D. Hope, C. Vaughan.
Commended performances: G. Bees, F. Slazak, B. Stanley
Comment: With a depleted squad, the year 9 boys headed away to Parmiters for our county cup match against a top side. We knew that the game would be tough, however for the opening quarter of the game we matched Parmiters creating the better chances, with F. Slazak hitting the post within the opening minutes. Both sides then created a few half chances and the boys continued to press well and win their duels. Unfortunately, Parmiters were able to find some real quality as they opened the scoring with a strike from distance finding the top corner, and finding themselves 4-0 up at halftime with three great strikes from outside the box. The second half brought end to end as the boys played some of the best football they have played all season against a top side, but with pace and power down the right flank Parmiters found a fifth. G. Bees made some brave 1 on 1 saves to keep us in the second half until F. Slazak hit a cool finish to reward the boys for their hard work. A decent overall performance given the circumstances and we now focus our attention on two massive games in the District League next week!
.
Year 10 Boys v Parmiters (District League) AWAY Mr Cartledge
Date: Tuesday 13th October 2026
Result: Lost 6-0
Scorers:
Squad: O Phillips, O Woodbrock (GK), M Rawlings, D Mason, W Reynolds, C Allan, Z Butler, C Holt, G Fogden, D Henry, N Gurung, D Isles
Commended performances: O Woodbrock
Comment: This was another really tough fixture with the squad again depleted by injury and a lack of availability. The boys battled hard but were outplayed for long periods. However to the boys credit they continued to try and pass the ball with some improved play in the 2nd half.
Under 13 Girls v Parmiters AWAY Miss Sunpongco
Date: Monday 12th October 2026
Result: Lost 3 – 1
Squad: S Henry (GK), M Gibson, C Elliot, S Fintinariu, A Benson, A Karakushi, G Oakes, T Walker-Hosier, M Mahboobian, I Murphy.
Commended performances: M Gibson
Comment: First game of the season for the Year 7s and 8s started off well. Within the first 3 minutes of kick-off, Gibson scored the first goal. This early triumph set all the girls out on a positive start. Becoming a little too comfortable and conceding a couple of goals before half time. After a good team talk, we saw better communication and determination to score in the second half. Unfortunately, not quite enough to get another goal in. It was a good start for the team but now we know where our strengths and weaknesses lie – getting ready for the next!
Under 15 Girls v Power League Tournament AWAY Miss Sunpongco
Date: Wednesday 13th October 2026
Result: 1 Draw, 3 Losses
Squad: E Gillett, R Oliveira, A McKenzie, J Blowers, F Shire and F Sheward.
Comment: The first tournament for Year 9s and 10s playing against Parmiter’s, Reach Free, Watford Girls and Westfield. It was a great afternoon for the girls to play some football, showcase some skills and have fun in a competitive environment. It was great to see some goals scored and fantastic teamwork when playing against some tougher teams. Well done all!
NETBALL
Year 9 Girls v RMS AWAY Miss Sunpongco
Date: Thursday 8th October 2026
Result: Lost 15-7
Squad: N Mowle, F Shire, F Sheward, E Bain, M Moore, L Tokai, Z Loison and V Delenska
Commended performances: F Shire chosen POTM by the opposition
Comment: Going into this game, the girls knew it was going to be tough. Having two substitute players gave us the advantage of fresh legs, which was crucial as RMS brought a lot of energy. The first quarter was hard, with the opposition coming out strong and scoring all the goals. Going into the next quarter with the plan to play longer passes and cover ground, we managed to get two goals. The third quarter was our best yet—our defence held out strong and didn’t allow them to concede any goals. A total team effort went into the last quarter, scoring 3 goals while the opposition only scored 1. This wasn’t quite enough to beat the opposition’s tactical play and accurate shooting, but BMS managed to get many rebounds, power through the midcourt, and drive the ball into the circle. On to the next game—well done, girls!
Year 10 Girls v RMS AWAY Miss Sunpongco
Date: Thursday 8th October 2026
Result: Lost 4 – 2
Squad: Y Loku, Galapaththige, D Vinoth, N Pata, E Gillett, A Terinte-Olteanu, M Milla and E Hughes
Commended performances: D Vinoth chosen POTM by the opposition
Comment: It was a low-scoring game, but that certainly didn’t mean the competition wasn’t tough. The girls came out energised and raring to go with a great positive attitude. Building on previous games played against RMS, our goal was to keep the score gap within 5 goals. The team achieved this by putting everything they had practised in training into action—executing great changes of direction, drag and drops, and shifts in pace. BMS played brilliantly together, supporting one another both verbally and physically on court. Unfortunately, an injury meant the game had to be cut short, leaving BMS with two goals scored and the opposition holding a narrow lead. Overall, there was excellent teamwork and a fantastic competitive atmosphere. Well done all and welcome Nil to the team!
Year 8 Girls v Parmiters AWAY Mrs Cooper
Date: Tuesday 12th October 2026
Result: Won 17-10
Squad: G.Cole, E.Ivory, A.Karakushi, N.Guyadeen, C.Elliot, G.Oakes, A.Gray, L.BBSayo, P.Yogarajan
Commended performances: E.Ivory selected by the opposition for some great shooting, special mention to G.Oakes also.
Comment: This was a great victory from the Year 8 squad, who worked really hard and played some lovely netball. After a slow start in the first quarter, the team began to focus and moved the ball well down the court, giving lots of shooting opportunities to E.Ivory, G.Cole and A.Karakushi. Feeding the ball into the circle, N.Guyadeen and C.Elliot made some great passes and definitely demonstrated some of the things we’ve been working on in training. Although Parmiter’s came out fighting in the third quarter reducing the deficit to 2, the defence of G.Oakes, P.Yogarajan, A.Gray, and L.BBSayo produced an impressive display, turning over multiple balls to regain possession. BMS piled on the pressure in the final quarter, scoring freely and earning a deserved victory. Well played ladies!
Year 9 Girls v St.Clement Danes AWAY Miss Sunpongco
Date: Tuesday 13th October 2026
Result: Loss
Squad: A Bateman, N Mowle, E Bain, F Shire, M Moore, V Delenska, J Hearn, E Coetzee and L Tokai.
Comment: Second game of the season and the girls were eager to score some goals. The game started off strong with the ball up and down the court – an even competition. There were many chances for interceptions in the defending circle which were not completely successful. A few good plays from centre pass and movement becoming better as the game progressed. Unfortunately, the opposition has some strong attackers which put a lot of pressure on our defence. We will take the goals scored and stride to beat this for the next game! Well done girls.
Year 10 Girls v St.Clement Danes AWAY Miss Sunpongco
Date: Tuesday 13th October 2026
Result: Lost
Squad: Y Loku-Galapaththige, D Vinoth, E Gillett, A Terinte-Olteanu, M Milla and E Hughes
Comment: A friendly game with a competitive atmosphere is what the girls enjoyed this afternoon. Having the flexibility to move around positions and play off each other on court strengthens team cohesion and helps improve communication. The girls demonstrated this throughout the game, showing that they can move the ball efficiently from the defence to attack. It was great to see! Thank you for year 9s for stepping in and helping the team! Well done.
Year 7 Girls v Aldenham Home Mrs Cooper
Date: Wednesday 14th October 2026
Result: Lost
Squad: J.Stanley, M.Mahboobian, P.Copeland, I.Murphy, D.Pearce, S.Matis Bumb, Z.Matti, D.Bola, E.Colakovic
Commended performances:
Comment: This was a tough first game for the year 7 squad taking on more experienced opposition. The BMS girls fought hard but the Aldenham team had clearly played together before and passed the ball around well, and their shooters were very consistent. It was pleasing to see BMS keep working to the final whistle and begin to create more scoring opportunities. Lots of things to build on in the coming matches but with positive team work things will improve for this newly formed team.
Year 8 Girls v Aldenham Home Mrs Cooper
Date: Wednesday 14th October 2026
Result: Won 15-14
Squad: G.Cole, E.Ivory, A.Karakushi, N.Guyadeen, C.Elliot, G.Oakes, A.Gray, L.Bosawa, A.Benson.
Commended performances: G.Cole – voted by the opposition for some great shooting.
Comment: Well this was certainly a game of two halves!! Building on their great performance from the last game B.Meads made a dominant start passing the ball well down court, scoring freely, and restricting the opposition in the defensive end. They took a commanding lead into the second quarter only to see Aldenham get into their game and start to claw back the 7 goal lead BMS had built up. Whilst Aldenham’s play improved BMS began to panic and rush their passing, something they had worked hard on in the previous game to control. Aldenham continued to fight back and turnover the ball and going into the final quarter the scores were level. The last quarter was end to end, BMS took a 2 goal lead before Aldenham drew level again. In the final minute BMS scored what was to be the winning goal and the defence held firm to ensure the team earned another victory. Phew what a close game! Well done everyone for digging deep and working hard to secure the victory.
