Developing our Environment for Learning

Last week an article in the newsletter highlighted the hard work completed by our Site Staff led by our Site Manager across the Bushey St James Trust Mr Campion, who have all been extremely busy upgrading many areas of our lovely school grounds and buildings, as well as overseeing some major building projects during the summer months.

Another significant area of investment that has taken place has been to upgrade the entrance to our science building and also refurbish two of our science labs with new LED lighting, full redecoration, new flooring, benching and cupboard space. This has greatly enhanced one of our core faculty areas and will support the science team and the growing number of students in all year groups of the school studying this important curriculum area.

The newly refurbished labs feel light and airy and will hopefully inspire even more students to Aspire to Achieve across the three sciences of biology, chemistry and physics and follow in the footsteps of our high flying sixth form students now studying these subjects at some of the world’s top universities. This year again a number of students are going off to study medicine at universities across the country including Manchester and Cambridge.
