Open Evening Success

A buzz of activity resonated from the classrooms of Humanities and Social Sciences on Thursday last week during Open Evening. The Geography department offered you the chance to decorate your favourite flag using a biscuit and various icing pens with students demonstrating their creativity and knowledge. Continuing with Humanities, History delved into the past and the opportunity to build your own fort, a delightful selection of constructions.

Pin the on the baby was found to be popular in the Religious Education department in addition to KS4 options of Business Studies and Economics. Here students were afforded the opportunity to identify the real ‘Colin the Caterpillar’ from taste tests which sparked discussions about quality and price to name a few. Future courses to consider at A Level included Psychology, Sociology, Law and Government & Politics provided students with insight of the importance of citizenship, your role in voting and community. Overall, the evening was a resounding success.

Thank you.
