Another Day at the Beech

Another Day at the Beech

As the students return to Bushey Meads School after a well deserved break, the finishing line is in sight after a difficult school year. Therefore, it was lovely to see a number of the Year 7 Beech students in such high spirits during their exam period.

With a great mixture of students in Beech they have all found their unique but vital role within the school. I have the pleasure of being on duty in the Year 7 area, overseeing the many personalities and enjoy having a chat about their day.
Here you can see the boys in Beech playing football on the astro (had to stop mid game) Showing plenty of skill and teamwork to pick their way through the opposition to score a vital last minute goal which sends the fans crazy. Sausage rolls and slush puppies everywhere!
For others that prefer hand eye coordination sports, like George, the table tennis tables are always busy students with drop shots, top spin serves and overhead smashes in plentiful supply.
Just like in the classroom they are always giving their all and each day brings a different result.
Some other students in Year 7 prefer a more low key, relaxed lunch break. Here we can see Hadi, Abigail and Freya enjoying the rays chatting with their peers and taking a well deserved break.
I am looking forward to overseeing those in Beech for the remaining weeks, enjoying themselves in the summer sun!
