Developing Independence
Associate Leader Mr Johnson led the important main school assemblies this week on the theme of independence and provided loads of great ideas and practical strategies to all students to enable them to develop that necessary independence to be successful in life.
He reminded us that those small steps that we take can really do shape our future – developing that growth mindset and willingness to learn from mistakes and failures can achieve greatness in the long term; having the ability to ‘have a go’ even if things are difficult, creates that resilience and forward momentum in our learning and in life.
He reinforced the expectations for everyone to show respect, take responsibility and build positive relationships through keeping the Keys to Success and trying their best best in lessons.
His assemblies made for a really positive start to each day this week.
