Special Assembly – Child Criminal...
As part of our statutory PSHE programme we need to deliver lessons on some tough content including gangs, grooming and child criminal exploitation. This week we had the pleasure of hosting Chris Baker who spoke to our Year 9 and 10 students about his life and the impact his experiences as a young child had on him growing up and how this had affected his life choices.
It is so beneficial for students to hear from people that have lived these experiences and can tell their story in a gritty relatable way. All of the students were incredibly engaged and respectful throughout the talk and asked some really considered and mature questions at the end.
A big thanks to Chris for sharing his story with us and Holly Wilson, our local Community Safety Intervention Officer for organising such an insightful event.
