On Wednesday the 29th of March, all Y9 students at Bushey Meads School were offered a unique enrichment day opportunity. This included a chance to select a range of taster day lessons to help them decide on there GCSE choices. This was followed in the evening by a meeting for the students & their parents about the wide variety of GCSE options on offer.
On the enrichment day I chose to try Geography & History because these were some of my favourite subjects. I learned about some of the topics I would study if I selected them for GCSE. I found out about a field trip that the Geography students attend in year 11 to Dorset.
Ɪ really enjoyed the sessions, one example was IT with Mr Abusef this opened my eyes into seeing some of the content of the course which included how to use google sheets effectively. By having a range of lessons this has helped me to select two of my options for GCSE & choose a number of backup choices, ɪ am still deciding on my third choice but the enrichment day helped me to rule out some possibilities too.
