Year 8 students recently took part in an exciting and immersive Spanish workshop led by Kidslingo, giving them the opportunity to step beyond the classroom and use their language skills in real life scenarios.  Throughout the session, students were fully engaged in practical activities designed to build confidence and communication skills.  They experienced what it might be like to travel abroad, practising conversations at passport control where they answered questions about their identity and travel plans entirely in Spanish.

The hall was transformed into a lively market place, where students used key vocabulary and phrases to buy food, ask for prices, and interact with shopkeepers.  This hands-on approach allowed them to apply their learning in meaningful contexts, helping them to see the real world value of language skills.

The workshop was a fantastic way to bring Spanish to life, encouraging students to speak spontaneously and develop their listening skills in a fun and supportive environment.  It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and growing confidence as they navigated each scenario. This type of experience plays a vital role in making language learning relevant and memorable.
