Mrs Greenwood and I went to Sky Studios on Tuesday to participate in a training course about next step options for Year 13s. There were other employers also present who talked about their various organisations including graduates and those who had chosen to apply for an apprenticeship. We were lucky enough to take part in an assessment centre run by Sky which provided a great example of the interview techniques our students may one day undertake. It was a valuable opportunity to liaise with businesses, talk to students about their career paths and listen to their advice for our pupils. After that we were lucky enough to be given a quick tour of the studios. I look forward to implementing some of the ideas and strategies discussed on such an inspiring day.
