“Les mini Jeux Olympiques font sensation!”
Mini Olympics bring big smiles!
On Monday 16th

June, students from St Hildas, Hartsbourne Primary and Little Reddings came
together to take part in our very own Mini Olympics Event. The LRS field was transformed into a
vibrant stadium as pupils from three local primary schools competed in exciting events,
celebrated sportsmanship, and practiced their French along the way.
This fantastic event, masterminded by Mrs Samuels from Little Reddings School and supported
by Mrs Crespi from Bushey Meads School included a range of events such as: La lancer de
ballon (ball throw), La course de relais (relay race) and La course de haies (hurdles). Students
encouraged each other with phrases like “Allez, Allez” (Go,go!) and “Tu peux le faire!” (you can
do it!) Everyone showed great team spirit and enthusiasm.
After the final event, we held a short closing ceremony where medals were handed out.
Whether gold, silver or bronze, every participant was a winner in showing effort, kindness and
teamwork.
A big merci to the teachers involved and to the Bushey Meads Year 7 language leaders who
made the day a success. It was a fantastic celebration of sport, language and friendship.
We cannot wait for next year’s Mini Olympics!
