Live Lessons Launch
As you know, the teachers at BMS started delivering Live Lessons this week via Google Meet.  There have been a few teething problems along the way – including a whole school power cut at 10am on day 1 – but the overwhelming feeling from staff, students and parents has been positive.  On this note, I wish to thank every person who has taken the time to express their gratitude, it really is appreciated.
We have already experienced the increase in student learning, motivation and well-being.  The same goes for staff.  Teachers got into the profession to teach children and since Monday there have been a lot of smiling faces across the school as a result of increased interaction with students and being able to teach again.
In addition to all of the hard work exhibited by the teachers, the IT Department have been invaluable (Mr Furr, Mr Booth, Mr Tenga, Mr Kass).  Not only have they been instrumental in setting up the Live Lessons, but have been on hand all day every day to support where needed.
We are still getting to grips with the technology and it’s capabilities, but we can assure you that we are doing all we can to improve our skill set on a daily basis to enhance the quality of lessons even further.  The attached video shows Assistant Headteacher Mr Varsani teaching an A-Level maths lesson during period 1 on Monday (his very first Live Lesson).
