During this lockdown period many of our usual events have understandably not been able to take place. Despite this many of our key leaders have continued to make outstanding alternative arrangements, often through the use of our state of the art technology with the support of our excellent IT Team, led by our dedicated IT Manager across the Bushey St James Trust George Furr. One such example was our online Annual Awards Ceremony which was enjoyed by hundreds of parents and carers and their hard working children last week. I would like to thank Mrs Ash, our outstanding Deputy Headteacher, for coordinating this online event and for all the staff involved. Here are just a few of the messages we received indicating the heartfelt appreciation for the superb event:
Thank you so much for the email letting us know about the award that our daughter had received. What a wonderful surprise! I asked this morning to hear some good news and someone was listening! She hasn’t even been at the school a year yet but her journey so far has been so fantastic and she has settled so well. I know she cannot wait to come back in September. She’s had enough of being at home now! Thanks again for all your support. Take care, – Year 7 Parents
A huge thank you to all the teachers who have had a challenging situation to keep children on track and motivated during such unprecedented times. It is so amazing to see how certain events and recognition has been able to continue by finding an alternative way to reach out and provide the praise to all the children. Thank you. We hope to be back to school in September and continue the journey to grow and learn through the Bushey Meads environment All the best to all the staff at Bushey Meads. Have a great holiday. Kindest regards, – Year 8 Parent
May I just say what a wonderful idea this is. It was such a pleasure to get a certificate in the post and we are very proud of our daughter.Thank you to you and all the staff for your hard work in keeping them all engaged and for thinking about all the additional things that make a school. I hope you all get a chance to rest over the summer amidst all the planning for September. Best regards, – Year 8 Parent
I just wanted to say how lovely and moving the awards presentation was. I have just gone through it once and will definitely be seeing it again. The music was so well chosen. Well done to everyone involved. – Member of BMS Staff
