Deputy Head of Faculty for Humanities and Social Sciences Mrs Osman led a great Monday Magic Moment in Staff Briefing at the start of the week to outline to all staff some good strategies for handling difficult topics in lessons that are sometimes raised by our students.
Children are naturally inquisitive and want to seek the opinions of others and also test out their own understanding. The world sometimes adds confusion and navigating the myriad and wealth of information (and sometimes disinformation) can be complex.
Above all the message from Mrs Osman was to be kind in our speech, and understanding in our approach to all conversations and debates that might take place in the school.
