Calling all Year 8 French students!
We are delighted to announce an exciting upcoming opportunity — a visit to the renowned Bread Ahead Bakery School in Wembley for a hands-on baguette-making workshop on Monday 15th June 2026.
As part of their continued exploration of French language and culture, students will step beyond the classroom to experience an authentic element of French culinary tradition. During the workshop, they will learn about the history of the baguette, explore traditional baking techniques, and work alongside professional bakers to mix, shape, and bake their own bread.
This visit has been carefully planned to enrich curriculum learning in an engaging and memorable way. By taking part, students will develop practical skills, build confidence, and gain a deeper appreciation of French food culture. Experiences such as this help bring language learning to life, providing meaningful cultural context that supports students’ intercultural understanding.
We are very much looking forward to this unique experience and are confident it will be both educational and enjoyable for all involved.
Spaces are limited so do sign up as soon as possible!
