Our important visitors started the day with a breakfast meeting which involved taking part in an interactive ice-breaker session in the School Restaurant with our Student Learning Consultants and Subject leaders to find out more about our wonderful learning community from their different perspectives.

After joining an inspiring House Assembly in the Main Hall led by Head of Elm House Mr Cox, they went off to take part in three different activities:

1. A tour of the school with students

2. A meeting with a cross-age group of 14 subject leaders across all subject areas of the curriculum who each shared about their three stars and wishes, related to what they thought the strengths of the school and subject area were, and how the school and faculty area might improve further.

3. An hour long strategic meeting and tour of the faculty with the Head of Faculty.

Our Governors and Trustees met with staff at breaktime in the staffroom and enjoyed some welcome refreshments and, later in the day, joined our superb Student Leaders in a joint Student Parliament/Governors Meeting in the Main Hall.

After lunch in the School Restaurant, our visitors enjoyed some stunning performances in the Main Hall to round off what was a really positive and informative day. What is so important is that our Governors and Trustees know our school – its strengths and areas for further development and can fully support our continued direction of travel.
