Comment : The final Year 9 Saracens Festival took place on Monday 1st December with a finals night consisting of matches against Onslow School and Croxley Danes. Croxley Danes defeated Onslow in match 1 so we needed to beat Onslow to set up a Final v Croxley Danes. The boys put in one of their best performances to dominate the opposition with A Folkes, P Payne, D Isles and C Holt all scoring tries in a convincing 20-10 win. The final match against Croxley Danes was always going to be tough with the boys having lost 3 times to them already this season. An outstanding performance by the boys saw us take a 15-10 lead with tries from E Silver, P Payne and R Samin and some excellent defensive work from D Isles and Z King in particular. However a final onslaught from a strong CDS team saw them score 2 late tries to run out 20-15 winners. The boys can be extremely proud of their efforts over the last 4 weeks and the Saracens coaches said the BMS team was definitely the most improved team over the course of the 4 week programme. Well done to the boys involved with nearly 20 boys taking over the 4 weeks. It has great to see the team spirit develop and the quality of rugby being played by the teqam has improved significantly. Well done all !

We now look forward to the Year 8 and 7 teams going to the next series of Festivals over the next couple of months.
