It was Aristotle who stayed that “The whole is greater than the sum of the parts” and this week at Bushey Meads we have seen many examples of how this becomes a reality here at our fabulous school.
In House Assemblies this week our hard working Heads of House have encouraged all students to think about the power of working together and have all showcased this with some members of the cast of our school show for 2019 ‘The Addams Family’ acting out one of the scenes to promote ticket sales. Do make sure you don’t miss out on what should be a great week of performances starting on Monday 11th February and running for three nights.
In Beech Assembly on Tuesday inspirational Head of House Mr Lester facilitated four of his Character Development Coaches to share some powerful examples of people working together. These included supporting family members to run 100 marathons in 100 days – raising over £60 000 for charity, to playing in the Staff Band or excellent examples from the world of sport. All in all it was great to see and hear.
All students across the school now have the chance to work together over the next few weeks to support a number of charities – from bringing in non-perishable food items for the Watford Foodbank to paying £1 to enter a raffle to win a signed football pennant from Watford FC.
