Year 12 Drama Students Return
Mr Knowles was delighted to see the return of all our year 12 drama students who returned to school for a 2 hour drama session this week. They decided that after months of working on theory at home it would be of benefit to try to run a practical drama lesson – albeit with much more individual work due to the social distancing measures in place. The students created some very imaginative responses to a piece of music (Sinead O’Connor’s Nothing Compares To You) with the intention of using these ideas to inspire their devised work in September. It was lovely to see every student in attendance and enthusiastic to get back into some practical drama work.
The students really embraced working in their boxes and the music in the corridor brought a bit more normality to that area of the school.  Mr Knowles’ preparation really showed that despite any hurdles that are put in our way, we can think outside of the box (but stay in the box for safety!!) and help students still enjoy their learning!  Well done Mr Knowles and the students!
