Year 9 Drama: Tutankhamun wins over the...
On Monday some of our strongest year 9 drama students went head to head in our annual devising competition final. Students, this year, had been tasked with devising short plays based on GCSE style stimulus material. The competition opened with a wonderful Monty Python-esque comedy based on impossible situations from our Violet class. This was followed by two exceptionally moving and visually inspiring pieces from the Blue class. The Green and White classes produced a stunning psychological drama and a presidential murder play respectively and our Yellow class produced two intriguing plays based on a trip to a haunted house and an alternative history of Egypt. As always the standard of work was exceptionally high and gave our judges a massive headache in trying to decide who the final awards should go to.
