We were super excited to launch our ‘Time to Sh9ne’ breakfast meeting in the sixth form centre today with some of our year 11 students. These sessions are aimed to provide bespoke workshops for those students who are currently on target to achieve some level 9’s in their upcoming GCSE exams. They will be attending breakfast on Wednesday mornings and will have themed sessions to help them on their journey; including ‘Shimmer in English, ‘Shine in Maths’ and ‘Sparkle in Science’.
Today’s session was titled ‘Is it written in the stars?’ Students were thinking about their barriers to learning and possible solutions for how to overcome them. The pastries and hot chocolate were well received by all.
The next session is on the morning of Wednesday 6th March as the first week back after half-term we will be off to visit Oxford University for the day.
