Last week, many of our wonderful Sixth Form students volunteered to assist with our preparations to support the BMS Open Evening for Year 6 students and their parents. This involved over 50 Sixth Formers who offered to be tour guides, assist with car parking and helping in subject areas. We were delighted to see so many of our new to school students and other Y12 Sixth Formers getting involved and helping make the event such a positive experience.
A special mention to the superb student leadership shown by the Sixth Form Leadership Team Head Boy and Girl, Head Prefects and Senior Prefects, who mobilized and organised the Sixth Form helpers and Prefects, and also updated school displays and so much more! Congratulations and thanks to:
and the outstanding team of Sixth Formers who staffed the desks:
for volunteering and their practical assistance all evening.
Our outstanding Sixth Form students were thoroughly focused and showed kindness, initiative and determination doing an excellent job which many parents commented positively about. You are excellent role models who excelled in ‘selling the school’ by your fantastic attitude throughout the evening.
Well done to all of you, your help and community spirit was greatly appreciated, without all your efforts this event could not have run so smoothly.
