Powerful and Poignant Assembly and Words
Last Friday morning our Year 11 and 13 students gathered in the main hall for a very powerful and poignant assembly and one of the last ones they will have altogether as the main examination season now begins.
They listened carefully to all the important information provided about their upcoming exams and were reminded about the hugely important JCQ rules about mobile phones and watches and the need to maintain absolute silence and avoid any type of communication whatsoever in the exam halls. Even a minor unintentional breach could result in disqualification from their exams.
At the end of the assembly there was an amazing time and ‘moment in the room’ when every student received a personal card from their parents and carers or the school, wishing them all the best for this upcoming time in their lives, as they try and realise their potential in the examinations which are seen as a result of now 11 or 13 years of education to date.
Parents and carers had written some immensely thoughtful and very powerful words which brought a tear to many of our eyes and meant so much to their children at the hugely important time in their lives.
