So as we come to the end of the year, it is that time again when I have had to nominate students from each year group for the Maple House Reward. This is always a difficult decision as there are so many Maple students that have shined and showed flair throughout the academic year.
The students this year have been chosen due to their positive attitudes within all areas of their work, for persisting when we have faced great challenges which have impacted on Maple House.
So congratulations on your achievements and keep your magic flowing in Maple.
So last week we said goodbye to our Maple year 11’s.
Mrs Cooper and Mrs Cartledge who were the Year 11 CDC’s had this to say about their form:
“Having spent the past 5 years with this wonderful bunch of students it is our pleasure to wish them luck in their future endeavors.
They joined us as apprehensive 11 year olds and left us as confident young adults who have so much to give and such positive times ahead of them.
We gained a few class members over the years – Nikki, Kai, Tulsi, Zak and Dilan S and waved goodbye to three students during year 7 – Ellie, Rhea and Mustafa.
Without exception they have all contributed in one way or another to the CD group:
Taylor and Mateusz with their continuous bottle flipping.
Dilan B, Kai and Andrius helping us with our technological failures – on a daily basis!
Tulsi being quizmaster extraordinaire.
Zakir always being so positive about his new CDG.
Aleyna, Yegs, Ella, Toby and Andrea taking on roles as student reps.
Vera and Alina with their love of lip gloss.
Colm in his starring roles in school productions.
Ruby and her never ending novel writing.
Rhiannon, Megan, Fred and Caleb for always knowing the meaning of the WOW.
Dilan and Hesham for their constant nonsense talk about football.
Our delight when Harry stayed awake for a CD period.
Sharuka and Chloe for being so loud.
Nikki for always keeping us on our toes with regards to the ‘new’ uniform rules!
Sara and Leo for always being happy to agree.
Thank You 11 Maple for being such a pleasure to have worked with and get to know. We know you ALL have great futures ahead of you. Enjoy life, work hard but most importantly be happy and be you…..”
