On Saturday 17th March Miss Skevington, Mr Knowles, Mr Malik and Mr Hawkins travelled to Bath for the World Challenge Summit Meeting. This was fantastic opportunity for staff to get detailed information about the expedition.
The first part of the day was a chance to have a Q&A session with the Response Panel. The panel is designed to enable school and expedition leaders to have specific questions answered by experts in their field, either relating to the Safety video content, or to expedition scenarios in a variety of key areas.
The second part of the day was the Hub session. This allowed staff to explore the kit that will be available to them whilst away on expedition. All teachers had a chance to look and ask any questions they have on the communications equipment, tracking devices and first aid kit.

To end the day all the teachers was involved in a Swaziland briefing. This provided lots of information on the expedition led by Mike, who was born and raised in Swaziland and now organises all the World Challenge expeditions to the destination. Bushey Meads challengers will be landing in Johannesburg, transported by minibuses to Swaziland, trek the Lubombo Marula Trail then zipwire across the Malolotja Canopy tour before working with local NCP (National Community Project) ending the expedition with the Hlane Safari.

Mike telling us all about the expedition!

This is going to be a truly amazing experience with all the staff leaving the event very excited.
