Learning Assistants

Our wonderful Learning Assistants have ‘stepped up’ and been working hard to help keep the school safe whilst assisting in lessons where keyworker, SEN and vulnerable students have been in attendance. A trend that continues this week with them welcoming our students back onto the school site. For example, Mrs Hughes has been helping some of our students get back into the routines of being in school and helping them settle back into the school community through hosting social story sessions.

Meanwhile, Mrs Richardson has been a reassuring presence within the testing center for many of our students while Miss Smart has supported others through the SEN Art club. The important role that Learning Assistants play in the school community and the impact they have on individual students cannot be underestimated. Our team has a wealth of knowledge and expertise that is invaluable in helping our students to access the curriculum and bridge any difficulties that they may experience in being able to do so.
