Dancing Alone Together

The wider Dance community have been very inventive during lockdown, whilst we can’t watch live dance or take part in dances. There have been many projects showing professional dancers choreographing, performing and teaching from home. This inspired our GCSE dancers to use social media and technology to work on their solo assessments which they will complete in Year 11. Students worked in pairs, watched each other perform their solo and gave feedback. The response from this task was positive stating that it was great to hear a peer’s verbal feedback, whilst working at home. Eloise and Aryan in Year 10 said they felt more confident when performing their solo now they have received feedback, as they’re used to teacher and peer feedback in dance lessons. I look forward to seeing their perfected solo’s when we’re back in school.
