Deputy Headteacher Mr Searle led some thought provoking assemblies this week, encouraging students to reflect on their commitment in life – to learning, happiness and future success. The inspiring picture of the cliff-diver that was on the screen at the start of the assembly provided a backdrop to his message about hard work, resilience, ongoing effort and a desire to give 100%.
It was a very appropriate way to start a new year and a new term at BMS and hopefully his message will have inspired many students to show 100% commitment in lessons, at home and in their extra curricular activities.
In reality it is sometimes just the simple things that require our 100% attention such as always following our ‘Keys to Success’, having a positive attitude to learning and being in the right place at the right time that makes all the difference.
