It was great to hear from students and staff how well the Great Dance Off Competition at the Beck Theatre had gone on Monday of this week. The students were exemplary role models for the school and showcased our great school through some really superb performances. We have had many messages of praise and thanks but perhaps this message from a parent of two students involved epitomised the sentiments of all:
Hi Mr Turner,
I just wanted to send you and the dance department a huge thank you for the opportunity for the children to take part at the Great Dance off competition this week. It was a brilliant experience for all the children. I know a huge amount of effort goes into preparing for something like this and I wanted you to know we do appreciate it.
I was lucky enough to have two daughters participating and was able to watch the event and see how well Bushey Meads did, especially as the standard was very high this year! My children have recently given up dancing outside of school after many years competing and I am so grateful to your fantastic department that have kept them engaged and still dancing. My eldest has loved helping with the younger children and it has been a great learning curve for her and part of her A Level journey.
The heart of the competition was to highlight the importance of the Arts at schools and Bushey Meads really embraces this!
Thanks again for all you are doing.
