One of the key aspects of our planning to ensure the safe return of students to the school after this period of ‘lockdown’ has been to review all aspects of our cleaning and hygiene regimes and ensure full compliance with the latest government guidelines.
Our relationship with our cleaning company Evergreen is well established and together we have worked hard to make sure absolutely everything is in place. I would like to thank them and all their hard working team for everything they do to make sure that our school site is safe and clean and for the long hours they put in to ensure this each and every day. The photos show two members of their dedicated team in action after school last week; their attention to detail and cheerful contribution to our school is hugely appreciated.
As a school we always want to put the safety of students and staff first and always look to go the extra mile in this regard. With that in mind we can now, not only regularly clean every classroom to the clear government standards, but have also purchased a superb disinfectant fogging machine which can disinfect every classroom and all the equipment and resources within. This additional resource and measure enables us to go even further than the standard safety measures already in place.
Each and every week Mr Campion, our outstanding Assistant Site Manager spends several hours on a Friday afternoon and evening using the high tech ‘fogger’ to ensure this extra layer of cleaning is in place. The machine is incredible and leaves every room perfectly spotless and also leaves no residue. In fact, apart from the extra clean aroma that may be detected, most students and staff will be unaware of this additional cleaning measure taking place across the school.
Click the image above to see Mr Campion in action after school last week in the Sixth Form Study Centre at the start of his afternoon and evening work. A huge thank you goes to him for going this extra mile for the students and staff at Bushey Meads.
We do hope that as parents and carers you are reassured by the extra additional measures we are taking to ensure the safety of your children whilst at our superb school.
As another week comes to a close, both staff and students are looking forward to the weekend but we have to take a moment to appreciate the success of the Bushey Meads Newsletter....
A few parents have contacted me recently quite rightly raising concerns about the traffic outside our school at peak times and I would join them in urging all parents and carers...
