A-Level Drama Bridging Fortnight

A-Level drama and theatre studies so far have been very insightful towards the actual courses we will be studying in September. The sixth form bridging fornite gave us a small snippet of what the students will be facing once we have started. So far, we have studied plays like “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”, a play written by Dale Wasserman based on the film of the same name and “Bouncers”, a play by John Godber. We have experimented with a variety of different props and scripts, and overall have bonded very closely as a class already.

The whole class found themselves becoming very attached to both scripts when given snippets to act out in front of peers, and adapted to them well with the minimal knowledge they already had. I am personally enjoying A Level drama very much, enduring both the practical and theory sides. So far the scripts have been entertaining to act out and I hope to discover more exciting plays in the future!
