Over the last seven weeks, the U16 boys athletics team have had another excellent season in the County Athletics League, eventually qualifying in 6th place for the Plate Final.  The plate final is made up of the schools who finished 5th – 8th in the league over the 6 prior matches and then combined with the other half of schools in Hertfordshire to conclude in a final competition and the opportunity to win the Plate trophy.  On Monday 30th June, the boys travelled to Jarmans Park in Hemel Hempstead to compete for the last time this year in the final. We were up against some strong competitors including Habs, Roundwood park and St Georges Schools in a very competitive field. The boys performed really well on the night with special mention to E Henry (100m) and K Walker (200m) who both recorded event wins to round off outstanding individual seasons.  After all the events concluded, we gathered on the track to find out our results. The boys finished in an excellent 2nd place only beaten by a a very strong Habs team. Throughout the season there have been some exceptional performances all round from students, setting new personal bests and showing a great team ethos. Well done to all students who have competed this season.

PE kit

It is essential that students have the full correct PE kit for all lessons. This includes shinpads and black /yellow socks when participating in football lessons and also a pair of white sports socks for all other activities. Students will be reminded when activities change. Students not bringing the correct kit will instantly receive consequence points.

Girls should be wearing plain black shorts which are longer than the length of their PE shirt or hoody. Leggings should be black sports leggings and not see through.  Black tracksuit bottoms are also permitted.

ALL jewellery should be removed prior to the start of the lesson, including earrings, and hair should be tied up.
