Extra curricular clubs, outside of school, are an excellent way of building self confidence and can offer very successful mentoring programmes, especially for students who find it hard to engage with school based clubs and support.
Please have a quick look at the attached leaflet with just a few options available through HCC. Other great options are the cadet groups organised by the emergency services and the military. These look great on CV’s but also give young people the experience and confidence to take on new challenges and enjoy the success that comes with it.
