The past few lessons in textiles saw one Year 9 group trial a new paper-based project, designing and modelling trainers/ leisure shoes. They produced a good variety of designs and attempted to recreate them in 3D by studying the different parts required to make the shoes. Some of the great final products by Matin, Sophie and Lily show off the variety of successful techniques they used to assemble the pieces, including masking tape from the inside to hide the seam and using the hot glue gun which has a stronger hold.
