The importance of reading
This week saw the launch of some new strategies focused on reading and encouraging students to invest time developing their reading further to complement the existing Friday silent reading events.Mrs Turton, LRC Manager led small group guided reading sessions with Year 7 students in the LRC with a reading mentor programme starting next week for Year 8 and 9 students.
Mrs Turton, along with her Student Librarians, have worked hard to reorganise the LRC with students able to access a range of texts that they may enjoy.
