Thank You WFC

Once again we say thanks to Watford Football Club for providing some of our disabled students with the opportunity to watch premier league football.

Saturday 2nd November saw 3 of our older disabled students, Kai, Dan and Abs, supported by the learning support team, attend the Watford v Chelsea game at Vicarage Rd.

Despite the last minute opportunity coming at the end of the Half Term break Mrs Hedges, Miss Burton and Mrs Dillon organised for the students to meet at the ground and then accompanied them to the game.

As always the staff at WFC were amazing and provided such a fantastic service to ensure the students got the best opportunity possible in the words of Mrs Hedges:

“All the WFC staff have been really great: The ticket office where I collected the tickets. The parking team who advised our parents to come back earlier due to the Cassiobury fireworks and road closures, The volunteers who look after the disability seating are amazing -they even took drinks orders for half time and brought them to us before the break.. Such a great club who really look after their disabled supporters.”

Although the result might not have been what the Watford fans were looking for the Bushey Meads students had a great time and we can’t thank WFC enough for the opportunity.
