A definite positive ‘side-effect’ of lockdown was the valuable extra time we found for personal reading. As you will know from July’s newsletter, Mrs Turton, our LRC Manager, set us a brilliant challenge and many students and staff rose to it. We had some fantastic entries for the Summer Reading Bingo Challenge.
This week we held the raffle ticket draw for students and we are delighted to announce our winners were Lana Wurr, 8S and Sophie Cohen 8A: each receiving £25 Amazon Vouchers. Everyone who entered was allocated raffle tickets according to how many squares/rows they had completed on the card – Lana and Sophie increased their chances of a prize by reading enough books to maximise their raffle tickets- it clearly paid off!
Congratulations also to Miss Denton and Miss Collins who were winners of the staff competition.
Well done to everyone who took part – look out for our next competition later in the year.
