School Of Rock

Over the last two weeks we have been busy auditioning students for our exciting school production this year – School Of Rock!!!.

To date we have auditioned years 7 and 8. By the time you read this we will have auditioned each year group. The standard so far has been excellent. It is great to see so many of our younger students proving that they could potentially play challenging lead roles for years to come.
As with so many events, we have had to rack our brains with how best to present the school production. We will need to be maintaining year group bubbles, ensuring social distancing happens and keeping everyone as safe as we possibly can. Therefore the plan is to create our very first Bushey Meads cinema drive-thru school production with a filmed version of School Of Rock. This will allow us to multi-cast roles wherever we can, ensuring that everyone who wants a part can have a part and that we can keep rehearsals to single year groups. The whole faculty is very excited about this prospect and plans for how rehearsals and the final performances will work will be released shortly.
