More Best Teacher 2024.25 Student Nominations

I would like to once again thank the 310 students who took the time to send in a nomination for their ‘best teacher’ from 2024.25 at the end of the last academic year. All staff received a nomination and found it uplifting to read the wonderfully encouraging citations. Here are a few more of them for you to read:

Congratulations Miss Joannou!
Miss Joannou has made a subject I was not so confident in nor did I like a load, into one of my favourite hobbies – even to an extent where I not only do it in school, after school and even out! But aside from being a great teacher she also is a great listener, advice giver and someone I can trust with basically everything. She makes every lesson she is in enjoyable and fun for whoever is in the class or just walking by. Year 8 Student

Congratulations Mr Lyley!
Great attentive style of teaching and strict but not annoying. Year 10 Student

Congratulations Miss Bragoli!
She can control our not very well-behaved class when most teachers cannot. She also doesn’t just tell us to improve, she shows us what to do and runs through it multiple times until we understand. She is also nice to have a conversation with but when work is needed to be done she teaches very well. Year 8 Student

Congratulations Mr Johnson!
He is a very kind teacher who is understanding and his way of teaching is amazing. Year 8 Student

Congratulations Mr Cox!
His fun and entertaining lessons. Year 7 Student

Congratulations Ms Pattni!
She’s very moral and calm, she explains everything very well and makes lessons engaging/interactive, she’s very sweet and gave our class handmade cards, everything she taught us is just very memorable so her teaching methods are clearly effective. Year 11 Student

Congratulations Mr Murray!
He is so, so, nice and helpful. He has made my friends and I thoroughly enjoy geography in year 10 and I will be very sad to leave him next year. Year 10 Student

Congratulations Ms Atchuthan!
Kind hearted teacher, who was willing to help any time I needed it. She teaches well and helps you understand in different ways to make sure you do understand it fully. Year 11 Student

Congratulations Mr Kasza!
Mr Kasza taught in a way that was suitable for all learning types. He did many activities that helped with active recall such as blurting on whiteboards. Right before GCSE’s Mr Kasza printed out past papers and went through the challenging questions in his unique style of teaching that helped so many of us. Year 11 Student

Congratulations Ms Patel!
She is a really nice, supportive kind person. Year 8 Student

Congratulations Miss Pearson!
Fun lessons and nice to talk to. Year 9 Student

Congratulations Mr Knowles!
Perfect balance between locking in and goofing about. Year 12 Student

Congratulations Mrs Greenwood!
She’s a really good teacher – better than everyone. Year 9 Student
