Impressive Attitudes to Learning
I would like to commend all our hard working Year 11 students for the way they are embracing all the challenges at this important time of year some 11 weeks and a mere 55 school days before their GCSE examinations begin.
They are certainly making every lesson count; this excellent attitude to learning was epitomised by their concentration and effort in the Learning Hub last Tuesday morning. Despite their science teacher being absent from school, they were completely focussed on using their notes in their exercise books, textbook resources and online learning platforms to maximise their knowledge and they all spent the whole hour reviewing concepts and completing exam style questions. It was very impressive to see.
As parents and carers do keep encouraging them to attend school every day, make sure they make the most of the morning Cracking the Core sessions run in the core subjects of English, Maths and Science during CDC time, providing an extra hour of focussed tuition every week and also encourage them to attend the after school revision sessions held on every day of the week and especially for the core subjects: Maths MondayEnglish on Tuesday and
Engaging with all these strategies will definitely boost their grades this summer and ensure that they achieve or even exceed their potential or predicted target levels.
