Freud Museum Visit: An Inspiring Day with...

This week, our students took part in an enriching visit to the Freud Museum in London as part of their psychology studies. The trip aimed to bring Freud’s theories to life and provide students with a deeper understanding of his influence on modern psychological thinking.

Although the cancellation of two scheduled workshops due to unforeseen circumstances was disappointing, students handled the change with maturity and enthusiasm. While we had hoped for a more interactive experience, the museum tour itself was both informative and thought-provoking.

Students had the rare opportunity to step inside Freud’s final home, explore his study, and see the famous psychoanalytic couch where so many of his groundbreaking ideas took shape. The exhibits helped bring abstract concepts — such as the unconscious mind, repression, and dream analysis — into a real-world context.

Despite the unexpected change, the day was still a great success. Students asked insightful questions, engaged in meaningful discussions, and came away with a stronger grasp of Freud’s work and legacy.

While not everything went to plan, the experience proved to be both memorable and educational — a testament to our students’ curiosity and adaptability.
