On Friday I spent Character Development Coach (CDC) time in the Maths Faculty area and was delighted to see so many students really focussed and engaged with our now embedded Friday reading programme. Teachers are using the top tips shared by our Lead Practitioner for English and Whole School Literacy Ms Bowe and are encouraging all students to follow the passages carefully using their BMS Bookmarks, This aids concentration, supports the strong link between the audio and visual experience of reading aloud and listening and enhances the class discussion about key words as they appear.
