Fantastic F Block Facilities!
Following from a comment in the Student Feedback box in H corridor, here is a reminder of the toilets that are available to students throughout the day.
The students that were with us last year, will know the F block toilets were massively refurbished following a request made by the Student Parliament to improve the facilities (please see the before and after pictures in this article). These toilets are available for students to use before school, at break time, during lunch time and after school.
We like to encourage all students to plan their toilet use so that it is not necessary for students to leave lessons to use the toilets. This maximises their learning opportunities and avoids disrupting the learning environment. It is also an important life skill to prepare students for life beyond Bushey Meads School.
In an emergency, students may ask for their teacher’s permission to leave the lesson to use the toilet – the teacher will give the student a note written in their planner. Any student with a medical condition just needs to show the toilet pass to the member of staff.  During lesson times, students who have been given permission to leave the lesson and have a note in their planner, are allowed to use the student toilet situated in the staff corridor.
Working smartly in this way should help to maximise learning whilst still being mindful of students personal needs.  Many thanks to the Student Parliament for securing the F Block toilet refurbishments and also to the students who help school improvement by making suggestions in the Student Feedback box.
