Continuing to Promote Positive Behaviour for...
Deputy Headteacher Ms de Groot led the Monday Magic Moment at the start of the week for all staff in our Staff Briefing Meeting and reinforced the school’s expectations for promoting positive behaviour during lessons, recionginisng the good work work all staff are doing to ensure these are met.
As parents and carers do remind your children to attend lessons promptly and do monitor your child’s Arbor account closely to look out for C points indicating any lateness. If a child is 5 minutes late to every lesson it means they are missing out on over two hours of learning every week.
Do also encourage your children to use the bathrooms (allocated for key year groups across the school) before school, at breaktime, lunchtime and after school. We do allow students with toilet passes to leave lessons but again are very mindful this does have a negative impact on learning and progress.
Ms de Groot reminded staff of key aspects of our Positive Behaviour for Learning Policy which the vast majority of students are following without exception.
Do continue to remind students of our three Rs of Respect, Responsibility and Relationships which will undoubtedly help them to achieve their true potential both in and beyond school.
