In Maple House Assembly it was inspiring to see how well Head of House Miss Joannou and Lana as the Student Head of House worked together to deliver some powerful messages about the importance of working together and reflected back on what has and can be achieved. Many of the images they showed on the big screen reminded students of some great events and activities that had achieved so much through students working powerfully together. Throughout the inspiring House Assembly they stood together at the front and showed some inspiring messages and pictures on the big screen to motivate all the students in Maple House.
Lana in particular encouraged all students to not hold back and simply get involved in as many different activities and opportunities on offer as possible. Miss Joannou praised the students for the very positive way that they have all embraced the Vertical Character Development Time activities this fortnight and how well they had been planning their charity fundraising events and ideas.
Miss Joannou gave a challenge for every single member of Maple House to bring in at least one item of food stuff for the upcoming Food Bank drive taking place this half term as we work together to support our local Red Trust Foodbank.
As we were reminded in the words of Helen Keller: Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much
