It has been really encouraging to receive so many positive comments about our very successful Year 6 Open Evening which took place on Thursday last week. Many of them commented on the hugely positive atmosphere around the school site, the cleanliness and impressive design of the buildings and classrooms, the welcome from staff and also how friendly the BMS students were who they met as tour guides or in faculty areas around the school.
The images show some of the superb work on display and the positive interactions taking place.
Here are just a few of the many messages received:
I attended your open evening with my son last night and wanted to write and complement all the organisers on such an inspiring open evening. We have a few schools to consider but were really impressed with the politeness of all your students and could see that they were proud of their school. I also wanted to highlight one student who showed us the school. She is one of your Sixth Formers and wore a prefect lanyard. My son said her name is Jessie, he thinks. She was an absolute credit to your school. I don’t think I have ever met such an engaging and inspiring young woman of her age. She was helpful, informative and kind. I hope that I have the right name for her so that you can pass on our gratitude. Following the open evening Bushey Meads is top of the list for my son! Best wishes, Prospective Parent
I attended Bushey Meads open evening today with my daughter Mya, and I just wanted to send in a quick email to give special thanks to our tour guide. We had a lovely young man named Aiden ( I cannot remember if he was Y8 or Y9). He was incredibly kind and welcoming. He was well mannered and well spoken. He interacted with my daughter and made her feel super comfortable and answered every single question we had with honesty and integrity. He was patient when she was taking part in activities and was encouraging. He showed us around every aspect of the school we wanted, some of which meant going back on ourselves and retracing steps. He even made us laugh, and was extremely sociable. He informed us of the choices education wise, helped us understand the timings of the school day. Aiden was complimentary of every teacher we encountered. He showed us around the canteen and was extremely thorough in helping us understand how lunch and social times worked. Aiden was a credit to your school and we strongly feel that we had the best tour guide there was to offer, so the very least we could do was send in an email with thanks. I truly hope that this gets back to Aiden, because we can’t thank him enough for being part of the reason why Bushey Meads is one of our top choices of schools for my daughter. Kind Regards, Prospective Parent
I would like to thank all staff and students for making our Year 6 Open Evening such a success and for showcasing the great work we do here on a daily basis. We are now enjoying welcoming visitors throughout the day on our hugely popular Open Day tours that take place from now until October half term.
